Yes, it’s free, but it does take commitment. The great commission is the mighty instructions given by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords Jesus Christ. Matthew recorded in Chapter 28:18-20
18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Since the Garden of Eden, where Adam and Eve sinned against God, sin has always been a problem for mankind because sin was the cause of separation from God (spiritual death).
Romans 3:23 reads: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Thank God, He had a solution: sending His Son, Jesus, to the cross to die for our sins and be raised from the dead so that we might believe in Jesus and be saved.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Now the awesome news is that you can come just as you are. You cannot work for eternal life or earn it. You just receive it by faith as a free gift. The same way you believe in faith that your heart is beating and you are faithfully breathing in oxygen.
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace, you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
So here it is folks, God has given very simple instructions for being saved (born again).
Romans 10:9-10 simply reads: That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
